About Your Coach!

My name is Lynde Nedved, and I am a wellness coach in Coralville, IA. I created my online coaching business to share my expertise with anyone who needed my services, regardless of location, and to provide them the flexibility to complete their programs whenever they fit into their busy schedule. My 12+ year career as a wellness coach started after I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from SUNY Buffalo in Buffalo, NY, where I landed my first job as a personal trainer. I never knew the potential of becoming a personal trainer as I was on the Pre-Physical Therapy Track, intending to help people regain function post-operation and beyond. I quickly learned that I could achieve the same goal by becoming a personal trainer and working with people to maintain their physical health or improve to prevent injury or chronic disease.

Before having my son 5 years ago, I never knew how vital personal trainers were until reading a book by Chris Kresser, https://chriskresser.com/about/, called Unconventional Medicine. This book opened my eyes to the fact that personal trainers, nutritionists, and health coaches are essential in preventing and managing chronic disease to increase longevity. After reading his second book, The Paleo Way, I learned that whole foods, supplements, and lifestyle changes are what our society needs to utilize as the first line of treatment against chronic disease prevention and management and that people have complete control of their health if they are willing to make the necessary changes. I have been blessed to have clients for over 8 years, but I realized that I was doing them a disservice by not being able to coach them on nutrition to help them obtain optimal health and well-being. This led me to complete my certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine to become a Nutrition Coach since I already was a certified Health Coach. With this education, I can give my clients comprehensive fitness, nutrition, and health coaching to help them achieve optimal health and well-being without resorting to expensive medications or surgeries with simple lifestyle modifications. 

Lifestyle modifications have been scientifically proven to reverse or put in remission 90% of chronic illnesses and diseases. This means that you all have the power to restore your health naturally with a personalized fitness, nutrition, and health coaching plan, but you may need guidance to figure out precisely what you are missing. Unfortunately, there is so much information out there about current fad diets, extreme workout plans, and cookie-cutter programming that people are wasting their money on tools that they may never complete or weren’t suitable for their body or individual needs. I could easily create these programs, but I wanted my services personalized to my clients to increase compliance with the program because I know that it works to help them FEEL their best and achieve their goals. As a mom myself to two young kids and a full-time career, I also understand how little time parents may have, but I can help you implement a plan that fits your lifestyle. When my clients implement a personalized plan, they realize they don’t have to restrict foods they love or be in constant pain after intense workouts to see results, and it’s so easy that they can reap the benefits and FEEL so much better instantly.
